Summary
Ever find yourself wondering, how did they decide to put a wildfire mitigation treatment here? Why is the unit shaped like that? Who paid for all this? Come join Summit County wildfire mitigation and forest management agencies to see and discuss fuels treatments and have all your questions answered! We will discuss the entire planning process from project identification and environmental analysis to layout and implementation. You will never see a fuels treatment the same way again.
This field trip is FREE and open to the public, but registration is required. This is the third of four Wildfire Council Fieldtrips scheduled this summer.
Meet at Miners Creek Trailhead in Frisco. We will hike a 1-2 mile loop to Rainbow Lake.
Dress comfortably for the weather, and wear good walking shoes as there may be some hiking/uneven terrain.
