Have you ever been curious about the different rock formations that speckle our local landscape? The mountainous environment here in Summit County provides a phenomenal landscape to observe geological points of interest. Join Geology experts Joe Newhart and Jim Anderson for an informative tour of some of Summit County's most interesting geological locations from your car.
We will meet at the Dillon Ranger Station at 8:45 and leave at 9am. From there, we will start a tour of Summit County's more interesting geologic historical sites by car. There will be a few different stops. The tour will start and end at the Ranger Station. The tour will wrap up between 12:30pm and 1:00pm.
