Description

Only the brave, the senseless, and the crazy live at this altitude! Venture beyond the Town of Montezuma and into the clouds on a snowshoe tour led by Dan Schroder, our CSU Extension Agent. This trek will take us deep into the heart of winter’s embrace, where history, adventure, and breathtaking scenery collide.

Meet for 9am at the Deer Creek Trailhead past Montezuma (location here).

What to bring:

-Snowshoes or spikes depending on weather. For snowshoes, please email maddie@fdrd.org if you need to borrow a pair.

-Warm layers (the weather can change in a hurry in the mountains - be dressed for a 3-hour outing with frequent group stops)

-Windproof jacket and pants

-Winter boots

-Backpack

-Gloves and hat

-Sunglasses

-Sunscreen

-Water

-Lunch/snacks
