Description

This tour is full, but you can register for the wait list!

Come join Eric Erslev to explore the 10 Mile Canyon bike trail from where it crosses Rte 91 to Frisco. We will enjoy the newly-opened (July 2022) southern section of trail and discuss the Mosquito Fault, which is probably the most active fault in Colorado. We will visit its glassy fault rocks and quartz-encrusted breccias in 10 Mile Canyon as it heads toward Frisco. We will meet at the bike bridge over Rte 91, 3.3 miles south of Copper Mountain at 9 am and end at the I-70 kayak parking lot on the west side of Frisco at noon. Meeting location: 39.459032, -106.143266

Email Eric.Erslev@colostate.edu with any questions or changes to attendance.

---

People will need to bring their own bike (ebikes are fine) and either arrange for a shuttle or join the leader in biking back to their car at the bridge over Rte 91.

Rain date will be the next day (August 21) same time and details.
