These events are FREE and open to the public. Space is limited, so please sign up only if you are committed to attending. If you sign up and cannot attend, please reply to the confirmation email in plenty of time so that we can try and fill the vacancy on the tour.

Come join longtime FDRD educator and Summit County Water Commissioner, Troy Wineland, on an informative outing on the Oro Grande trail while getting the inside scoop of what to expect for snow this season!

Meet for 10am at the North Oro Grande/Tenderfoot Mountain Trailhead (39.63651436914758, -106.03457075547213)

What to bring:

-Snowshoes or spikes depending on weather (will email a few days out with trail forecast). For snowshoes, please email maddie@fdrd.org if you need to borrow a pair.

-Warm layers (the weather can change in a hurry in the mountains - be dressed for a 3-hour outing with frequent group stops)

-Waterproof jacket and pants

-Winter boots

-Backpack

-Gloves and hat

-Sunglasses

-Sunscreen

-Water

-Lunch/snacks

Pets and smoking are not permitted on this hike.
