Description

Join Eric Erslev, retired CSU professor and longtime FDRD volunteer, for an off-resort Ski With A Ranger experience! Learn about the natural world around you while skiing through our beautiful trails. This event will be out-and-back with both uphills and downhills. Touring skis--either cross-country or alpine (or even a splitboard)--are recommended for this excursion, but you can participate in snowshoes. 

This first trip will take place will take place at Fremont Pass. Meet at the Rte 91 and Trail Rd junction (location here).

What to bring:

-Touring setup

-Warm layers (the weather can change in a hurry in the mountains - be dressed for a 3-hour outing with frequent group stops)

-Windproof jacket and pants

-Backpack

-Gloves/mittens and hat

-Sunglasses

-Sunscreen

-Lip balm

-Water

-Lunch/snacks

Pets and smoking are not permitted on this hike.
